ARTIST STATEMENT

My work lives in the space between representation and distortion, where portraiture and figurative art become vessels for inner experience. I paint, draw and animate to explore the fragile line between what the body reveals and what the mind conceals.

As someone living with epilepsy, I often experience reality in fractured, heightened, or surreal ways. These shifts inform my practice: faces become fragmented, figures slip into dreamlike states, and familiar forms bend toward the uncanny. By layering realism with surreal elements, I try to capture not just how people look, but how consciousness itself feels when it flickers, distorts, or renews.

At its core, my art is about vulnerability, resilience, and the human need to be seen. Each piece is both a mirror and a translation—a way of mapping inner upheavals onto visible form.
